Samantha had an early and personal interest in special education, growing up with her younger sister who has Autism Spectrum Disorder.  While obtaining her undergraduate degree, she worked summers at Milestones Academy and found that her interest could become a career.  After obtaining her Masters in Special Education, with an emphasis in the functional analysis of behavior, she moved to Iowa and began working as a challenging behavior consultant in public schools.  Her experience in developing programs for a variety of behaviors and functions, understanding a family perspective, and working with a multi-disciplinary team have prepared her for her current role at Milestones as the Lead Clinician.  Samantha is passionate about increasing the functional skills of students so they can access the environment around them with an increased quality of life for themselves and their families.  In her free time, she likes to relax by listening to podcasts, finding new music, and watching her favorite TV shows.
