Melba has a Bachelors’ Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Sociology. She has worked with those with special needs and mental health issues for the past 20 years. She started off working with children as the Residential Placement Coordinator in Children’s Division for Jackson County. After 15 years she left the State of Missouri and worked with adults with severe mental health issues. She also have an extraordinary son who has Autism. It has been a blessing for her to watch him grown up to be the brilliant young man that he is now. She is a published author and currently working on her 3rd novel. In her spare time she enjoys reading and writing. One day, she hopes to convince the world that chocolate should be a food group of its own!
