Our Benefits

The Benefits of Belonging

At BHA, you can be sure that you and the work you do matter to us. Every person here is an essential piece that fits perfectly into the mosaic of life, learning, and growth that we are creating every day in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and complex behavioral challenges. In fact, we can’t do what we do without you.

This is where you belong, and at BHA, there are benefits to belonging. Here are a few we would like to highlight, but there are so many more.

Making a positive impact: You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them lead independent and meaningful lives.

Career growth and development: You will have the chance to grow and advance in your career while working with a diverse and inclusive team.

Fulfilling work: Working with individuals with developmental disabilities can be extremely rewarding and fulfilling, knowing that you are making a difference in someone’s life.

Training and support: We provide ongoing training and support to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your role.

Competitive compensation and benefits: We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages to our employees.

Professional Growth and Development

At BHA, we are committed to providing opportunities for professional growth and development to our employees. Some of the ways we support the growth and development of our team members include:

1. Training and development programs
“Learn” is the second word in our tagline. We offer various training programs to help employees enhance their skills and knowledge. This includes both internal and external training opportunities.

2. Mentorship and coaching
We provide mentorship and coaching to help employees set goals, develop their strengths, and improve their performance.

3. Career advancement opportunities
We have a clear career pathway for employees to progress in their roles and advance within the organization. We encourage and support employees in pursuing promotions and new opportunities within the company.

4. Cross-training opportunities
We provide opportunities for employees to gain experience in different roles or departments within the organization, allowing them to expand their skills and knowledge.

Work-Life Balance: Grow. Learn. Live.

We do what we do every day at BHA because we value people and the lives that they live. The word “live” is the final and perhaps the most important word in our tagline, because life, after all, is the point. And living well is the dream.

At BHA, we value who you are and what’s important to you. That’s why we encourage our employees to set boundaries between their work and personal life by establishing clear expectations around work hours, availability, and communication channels.

We offer paid time off (PTO), including vacation days, sick leave, and family leave, to ensure BHA employees can take time off to recharge and attend to personal matters. BHA also offers family-friendly policies such as parental leave, adoption leave, and caregiver support to help employees balance their work and family responsibilities.

With our BHA Employee Wellness Programs, we offer an employee assistance program (EAP), which has mental health resources to support physical and mental well-being.

BHA managers are trained in how to support employee work-life balance, including recognizing signs of burnout, offering support and resources, and promoting a culture of flexibility. We regularly solicit feedback from employees on their work-life balance and use this information to make informed decisions about policies and practices.

Our BHA Disconnect from Work program encourages employees to disconnect from work-related tasks outside of work hours by avoiding after-hours emails, calls, or meetings.

“If you’re looking for a place where you can grow, learn, and make a difference, I  recommend exploring BHA further.”
