  • Museim at Prairiefire 5801 West 135th Street Overland Park, KS, 66224 United States (map)

Sensory Friendly Day 2019 is an event for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences and their families to enjoy the Museum at Prairiefire!

This event is an opportunity to experience the museum’s exhibits in a comfortable and sensory-friendly environment.

Sensory Friendly Day will be staffed by volunteers from the KU Center for Autism Research and Training. We will provide extra signage and a guide for parents to help navigate specific areas of the museum, including the Dinosaurs exhibition, the T. rex in the Great Hall, the geology exhibit and the wetlands trail just outside the museum.
