Alisha started as an elementary education teacher with third through sixth grade students. In her time as an elementary educator she spent her time in a small classroom getting to know her students and engaging them in materials that would excite them about learning. She then went on to become a paraprofessional for two years, where she got the passion for helping students in special education. She made the decision to return to school to obtain her master’s degree in special education. As the special education teacher for the intermediate classroom at Milestones she enjoys working with students, families, and other professionals to help students each and every day. In her free time, she likes to read, watch movies, watch the Royals and Chiefs play as well as crafting. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Olivia as much as she can.
